“You are perfect exactly the way God made you” declares Trump in Joint Congressional Address

Earlier this week, President Donald Trump delivered the longest presidential address to a joint Congress in history, detailing the accomplishments of his first six weeks in office. The two-hour address focused heavily on the "commonsense revolution" his administration has begun through Executive Orders targeted at overturning woke Biden-era policies. He even declared: “Our message to every child in America is that you are perfect exactly the way God made you!"
“Six weeks ago, I stood beneath the dome of this Capitol and proclaimed the dawn of the Golden Age of America,” Trump began. “From that moment on, it has been nothing but swift and unrelenting action to usher in the greatest and most successful era in the history of our country. We have accomplished more in 43 days than most administrations accomplish in four years or eight years — and we are just getting started.”
Trump backed those claims up by noting that he has signed a record of nearly 100 Executive Orders and taken over 400 Executive Actions since entering office, aimed at creating a “thrilling new era of national success” as promised during his inaugural address.
“I return to this chamber tonight to report that America’s momentum is back,” he continued. “Our spirit is back. Our pride is back. Our confidence is back. And the American Dream is surging—bigger and better than ever before. The American Dream is unstoppable, and our country is on the verge of a comeback the likes of which the world has never witnessed, and perhaps will never witness again.”
Trump covered many topics during the address, including immigration, the economy, and foreign aid. We were quite encouraged that he also focused on faith and family values, highlighting key actions his administration has taken over the last two months.
Trump spoke about his efforts to eradicate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies from the federal government and stated that workers in every profession should be hired and promoted based on skill, competence, and merit rather than race or gender. He also acknowledged his Day-One Executive Orders establishing that there are only two sexes – male and female – and banning public schools from indoctrinating our children with gender ideology. Trump later detailed his efforts to end the practice of allowing children to undergo transgender surgical and chemical interventions, which have life-long consequences and ultimately exacerbate mental health issues.
A recent study published in the Oxford Academic Journal of Sexual Medicine found that individuals suffering from gender dysphoria who undergo “gender transition” surgeries are “at significantly higher risk for depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and substance use disorders.” These individuals need help addressing the underlying causes of gender dysphoria, not pseudo-science “solutions” for this serious condition.
