March for Life Bookends Three Pro-Life Wins!
Jan 29, 2026 by FACT
Tens of thousands of pro-life advocates from across the nation gathered in Washington, D.C. on January 23 for the 53rd annual March for Life – the “largest annual human rights demonstration in the world.”
"For 53 years, students, families, patriots, and believers have come to Washington from every corner of the country to defend the infinite worth and God-given dignity of every human life. The work to rebuild a culture that supports life continues in every state, every community, and every part of our beautiful land. This is a battle that must be fought, must be won, not only in the corridors of power, but above all, in the hearts and souls of the people,” President Trump stated via video address.
Vice President JD Vance also spoke at the event, sharing that our country “cannot be indifferent whether its next generations live or die.”
Vance, who recently announced he and his wife, Usha, are expecting their fourth child in July, noted that Americans have “a vice president who practices what he preaches.”
In the week leading up to the March for Life, the U.S. House passed two important pieces of legislation to protect the sanctity of life. The first, HR 6945, “Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act,” safeguards federal funding for pregnancy resource centers, passed with a vote of 215-209. The bill “provides statutory authority for states to use Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds for pregnancy centers that (1) support protecting the life of the mother and the unborn child; and (2) offer resources and services to mothers, fathers, and families, including relationship counseling, prenatal and pregnancy education, pregnancy testing, diapers, baby clothes, and material supports.”
A report from the Charlotte Lozier Institute in November 2025 revealed that the total amount of medical care, support, educational services, and material goods provided to pregnant women by 2,775 resource centers in all 50 states exceeded $452 million.
LiveAction shared some of the report’s other incredible findings:
The second bill, H.R. 6359, “Pregnant Students’ Rights,” ensures that pregnant college students are informed about “their rights to give birth and take care of their babies while receiving an education.” The bill passed out of the House with a vote of 217-211.
“Too often, … expectant and vulnerable women are essentially told that they have to choose either their child or their future. No one should have to make this ultimately false choice,” the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops wrote. “The Pregnant Students’ Rights Act is needed legislation that would simply ensure that colleges and universities at least provide information about the resources, services, rights, and accommodations available for pregnant and parenting students.”
In another pro-life win last week, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) announced that it will sever all financial ties to institutions that experiment with human fetal tissue and baby body parts obtained from elective abortions. In 2024, at least 77 taxpayer-funded projects still used fetal remains for experimentation.
“NIH is pushing American biomedical science into the 21st century,” NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya explained. “This decision is about advancing science by investing in breakthrough technologies more capable of modeling human health and disease. Under President Trump’s leadership, taxpayer-funded research must reflect the best science of today and the values of the American people.”
Praise God for these incredible wins! We pray 2026 is the best year yet for the pro-life movement.

The mark of barbarism is that we treat babies like inconveniences to be discarded rather than the blessings to cherish that they are. But the inheritance of our civilization is something else, the fact that as Scripture tells us, each life is ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’ by our Creator. The March for Life … is not just about a political issue …. It’s about whether we will remain a civilization under God or whether we ultimately return to the paganism that dominated the past.

Today, the far left in this country tells our young people that marriage and children are obstacles, that it’s irresponsible, even immoral, because of ‘climate change’ or some other reason, to encourage our young people to raise a family. They tell us that life itself is a burden, but we here at this march … we know that it’s a lie. We know that life is a gift, we know that babies are precious because we know them, we love them, and we see the way that they can transform our families.
We know that family is not just the source of a great joy, but is part of God’s design for men and women, a design that extends outward to our family, to our neighborhoods, to our communities, and to the United States of America itself. And we here know that treating everyone with dignity isn’t always easy, it’s not always convenient, but it’s the right thing to do.

- Pregnancy centers saw 1,012,976 new clients in 2024.
- 8 in 10 centers provide free or low-cost medical services, staffed by over 10,000 medical professionals.
- Material support provided rose by 48% from 2022, proving that pregnancy centers are stepping up to meet the needs of women and families after the fall of Roe v. Wade.
- Pregnancy centers provided 6,353,386 packs of diapers, 1,604,996 packs of wipes, 4,980,839 baby outfits, and 373,531 cans of formula in 2024.
- 81% of pregnancy centers provide ultrasounds (636,514 of them in 2024), 92% provide material item services, and 85% provide prenatal/parenting education programs.
- 29% of pregnancy centers provide abortion pill reversal.
